Seems you can always tell who's losing when they get loud, unintelligible, or overcompensate in their second verse. Gas to advance.

Wasted that 16 like R Kelly did. I like his word play.
I actually really like Self's flow on this track.
I'm a big fan of Cynic's work, but perhaps it would have been a much different outcome with a different beat. My vote is for Self.

The hardest vote to votest.

I'm not sure what the fuck to say about this battle that hasn't already been said.
Both emcees went down swingin hard and as a follower of the BBS I really wish Gasmasq's second verse was let into the cut. It would have proved for a bigger apex in the second half of this song. But it is what it is.
Madflex took him on flow.
I give Gas points for being a person trying something different with hip hop.
I'm going to place my vote for Gasmasq on this one.

Isaac Hayes... step aside

If I ever hear of somebody filming a blaxploitation, I may have to threaten them with violence if they don't use this as the hero's theme. This makes me want to drive a '77 buick electra and call everybody a jive turkey while I shake the scene. LOVE IT.

One question

Where's the BEEF? er... I meant bass.
Guess that would be a question for Musical-Pants.
Thanks for putting actual effort into this competition.
The chumps were starting to get to me. Glad they're gone.
Good luck in the finals. I'm rootin for ya.
Every time I've went to vote for you, something unfortunate has happened to my keyboard and I haven't been able to leave a detailed review.
I want to hear some of your other stuff. Where can I find it?

MadFLeX responds:

thanks man, i appreciate you giving all the battles honest reviews. you cant get too mad at the casual people who wanted to get into the comptition, but they get weeded out pretty soundly by the people who take it seriously.

right now, my hip hop tracks are limited to what you hear on the site. i didn't do a lot of recording, i did a lot of battle rapping. haha. but i figured if people wanted to hear more from me after this competition i might make an EP or something.

Sorry, I can't leave a detailed review...

I've got a lot to say about this battle, but I'm not about to type it all on a phone.
My kid snipped the cord on the keyboard as a.birthday gift. I've already voted for madflex. It's for lines like "... Less cultured than the south pole." and others.

Good luck to both of you in the finals.

Chirp my junk freestyle... hmmm shittin indeed

My vote is for Gasmasq.
I like how he doesn't have to spell his shit out for us and realizes we're smart enough to get it. The smorg line for instance. Alluding to Self being an alt of smorg,
Smorg battles suddle - his laptop breaks
Smorg battles Gas - his laptop breaks
Self battles Murdaa - his mic breaks
Self tells Gas - after this you'll be like "uhhh I broke my mic, too"
1 small line and I was thinking... it's plausible

This would be easier if there was a score card... but I'll just try to bite Pigpen's style for a sec... since noone else is.
The breakdown:

Verse 1 Self: The Bluest Eye
- Starting the track with the yammering seemed disrespectful to the producers who worked hard on it.
- Rhyming better with better... Rick Ross does shit like that.
+ flow was good
- lack of multi's
++ imagery (Ron Jeremy napkin)

Verse 2 Gasmasq
+++ more flips than a circus clown
- inflection on "knocked out your other account... smorg" line
+ using half-wit when the obvious choice was "faggot"... getting a little sick of the over use of that word in these battles.

Verse 3 Self: The Bluest Eye
-stupid dumb fuck
+2g1c line
+slap chop
- fag line
- little too much filler
++ fumin spewin the gas your mask can't handle ----- dope

Verse 4 Gasmasq
+great entrance
+flippin flips
+good exit on the fade
+++ thanking the producer on your track

Fantastic job to both emcees. This is my new favorite thing.

It almost makes me hate patchouli-stinking hipsters a little bit less. The scratches aren't completely horrible. I listened to this for about 20-25 mins before I forgot what I clicked on or why... I appreciated the escape. Rarely do I find myself lost in music these days. Kudos. 5/5 10/10

EternalXIII responds:

Thanks! Glad you liked it xD
